For more than two centuries, the Arch Street Meeting House has served as a gathering place where conscience becomes action.

Arch Street Meeting House

The historic Arch Street Meeting House is located at 320 Arch Street, on the corner of 4th and Arch Streets, in Philadelphia’s Old City neighborhood just steps away from Independence Hall.

The Meeting House entrance door is at the center of the north side of the building facing Arch Street.

Getting to the Meeting House

Located just one block from the 5th Street / Independence Hall Station on the Market-Frankford Line (Blue Line), the Meeting House is easily accessible on transit. Multiple bus routes also have stops nearby.

From 30th Street Station (Amtrak): Take the Market-Frankford Line subway from 30th Street Station to 5th Street Station. There are also options for buses.

Via Regional Rail: Jefferson Station (Market East) is within walking distance (approximately 3–4 blocks) of the Meeting House.

By car: Please note that the area is largely one-way streets. There are many options for parking garages and surface lots nearby starting around $15/day. Street parking near the facility is metered with two-hour or three-hour limits.

Since 1682, this location has actively and continuously been used by Quakers and the entire Philadelphia community. Since 2011, Arch Street Meeting House has been a designated National Historic Landmark.
