America Beyond 250: Reclaiming the Promise of Pluralism is a half-day event that will push back against the dangerous and exclusionary narratives of White Christian Nationalism and advance a vision of a more inclusive and democratic future.
At a time when debates over history, identity, and belonging are intensifying at all levels, this event brings together advocates on the front lines, public thinkers, scholars, and community leaders to confront the stakes of our current moment and to imagine what comes next — and what we need to do to make the vision a reality.

Beginning on Saturday morning with an optional walking tour of historic Old City Philadelphia, join us for an afternoon of discussion with advocates, scholars, and community leaders about building a more inclusive, democratic future for our nation.

Walking tours will depart from Arch Street Meeting House at 9:00am and return by 10:00am.

Arrive early for coffee, tea, and light refreshments and to meet our speakers and special guests.

Main Program
Our event will begin with brief opening remarks and welcomes, including from Philadelphia elected officials and civic leaders. Our program will featuring multiple panels of advocates, scholars, and civic leaders discussing the history of pluralism in the United States, threats to this legacy, and actions we can take to reclaim our national promise of pluralism.

Location
The historic Arch Street Meeting House is located at 320 Arch Street (the corner of 4th and Arch Streets), a block north of Market Street, in Philadelphia’s Old City neighborhood.
The Meeting House entrance door is at the center of the North side of the building, facing Arch Street.
